Alyse Faith is an award-winning Australian flute player based in London.
Alyse is in her final year of a Master of Arts in Performance degree at the Royal Academy of Music in London, UK, under renowned flute teachers William Bennett, Michael Cox and Patricia Morris (piccolo). Her studies at the Academy are generously supported by the Bouddi Foundation for the Arts, The Ian Potter Cultural Trust and the PPCA Performers’ Trust Foundation.Alyse has performed with the Royal Academy of Music Symphony Orchestra, Academy Opera Orchestra, University of London Symphony Orchestra and the Academy Manson Ensemble.
In 2017, Alyse graduated with a Bachelor of Music (Honours), specialising in flute performance, having studied with Mardi McSullea and Margaret Crawford (flute) and Andrew MacLeod (piccolo) at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music (MCM). Alyse performed in the University of Melbourne Symphony Orchestra of the MCM in 2014-18 and played principal flute with the orchestra on multiple occasions. In 2017, Alyse performed internationally as principal flute on tour in China with the orchestra of the Australian International Opera Company.
Whilst in Melbourne, Alyse was the winner of multiple awards including the prestigious Leslie Barklamb Flute Competition in 2018, as well as the winner of the Most Promising Wind or Brass Award in the Australian Concerto and Vocal Competition in 2017 and the winner of ‘The Talent’ 3MBS Fine Music Melbourne Audience Vote Performer of the Season award in 2016. Alyse enjoys playing chamber music, currently in the UK-based flute and guitar duet, Alyse & Clancy.
